FASHION PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY

Working with Dune London on a few occasions has been a pleasure. Photographing their products for different seasons always brings wonderful challenges to face, and when the final product is done and in print in stores, there's not a much better feeling. On this occasion, their campaign was using colourful stools that I was tasked to set up the shoes on and photograph. We decided collaboratively on the day that the white wall with its texture behind created a nicer aesthetic compared to the plain white backdrop. Fashion photography has a lot of challenges you might not ever know or see. From creases in the products to sections that require propping up on seethrough blocks, or holding up with fishing wire. These complexities being ironed out quickly allows gor many more products to be photographed in one session.

Over the years I've shot numerous campaigns with Dune London for their SS or AW selections. My favourite included the moving GIF we created below. This was set up using mirrors next to the shoes, then in post changing the colours to the different options they had to sell that year.
